Thank you for choosing Nicola Honey Artistry to be part of your wedding day.
These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure your booking runs as smoothly as possible and to clearly outline the responsibilities of both Nicola Honey Artistry and the client.
Agreement
Payment of the non-refundable booking fee confirms that the client has read, understood and agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
1. Booking & Non-Refundable Booking Fee
Thank you for choosing Nicola Honey Artistry for your special day.
By paying your booking fee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.
The booking fee secures my exclusive availability for your wedding date and covers administration, correspondence, diary reservation and any work completed before your wedding. For this reason, it is non-refundable should you choose to cancel your booking.
Your booking fee will be deducted from your final balance.
Until the booking fee has been received, your wedding date will remain available for other enquiries and cannot be guaranteed.
2. Payments
Payment is accepted by bank transfer or cash only.
The remaining balance is due one calendar month before your wedding date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Where a bridal trial takes place within 8 weeks of the wedding date, 50% of the remaining balance will be due at the trial appointment.
Where a bridal trial takes place within 2 weeks of the wedding date, the remaining balance must be paid in full at the trial.
Failure to make payments by the agreed dates may result in your booking being cancelled.
3. Bridal Trials
I tend to do most trials earlier in the year (January & February but another time can be arranged.
Trials are normally carried out at my home in (B63) where I dedicate full days to bridal appointments.
Appointments are generally available on:
Monday
Tuesday
Thursday
As Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are predominantly reserved for weddings, weekend trial appointments cannot be guaranteed.
If you have booked both hair and makeup, both trials will normally be carried out during the same appointment.
4.Preparing for your trial
Please bring:
Inspiration photographs
Your veil or headpiece (if applicable)
Hair accessories you intend to wear
For hair trials, please wash your hair the evening before unless advised otherwise. Hair should arrive clean and completely dry.
Additional bridal party trials are available at an extra charge.
Should you wish to book an additional bridal trial after your initial appointment, this will also incur an additional fee.
If you decide not to proceed with your wedding booking following your bridal trial, your initial trial is covered by your non-refundable booking fee.
Following your trial, please notify me within seven days whether you wish to continue with your booking.
If confirmation is not received within seven days, I reserve the right to release your wedding date.
5. Travel & Accommodation
Travel is charged at 45p per mile from B63 to your preparation venue and return.
Where public transport or taxis are required, these costs will be charged instead.
Travel charges also apply should you request your bridal trial to be held anywhere other than my home studio.
If travel exceeds approximately more than one hour each way, overnight accommodation may be required.
Accommodation costs are payable by the client.
Any parking charges, congestion charges, Clean Air Zone charges, ULEZ charges, tolls or similar travel costs incurred whilst attending your booking will also be payable by the client.
6. Wedding Day Services
Wedding makeup includes the application of complimentary false lashes where desired.
Lash styles may vary depending upon supplier availability.
No discount will be given if false lashes are declined.
Likewise, no discounts are available for partial makeup applications, including (but not limited to):
Eyes only
Base only
Lips only
Any other partial service
Depending upon the size of your bridal party and your required finish time, it may be necessary for a second hairstylist or makeup artist to attend.
Where this is required, an additional artist fee will apply and will be discussed before confirmation.
Arrival times will be determined according to your ceremony time, photography schedule and the number of services booked.
Please ensure all members of the bridal party are present and ready at their allocated times to ensure the morning runs smoothly.
If members of the bridal party are late or unavailable, I reserve the right to shorten or omit services in order to remain on schedule.
Refunds will not be given for services affected by delays caused by the client or members of the bridal party.
International weddings require all travel, accommodation, insurance and agreed overseas surcharges to be paid by the client.
7. Additional Artists
For larger bridal parties or where timings require, Nicola Honey Artistry may provide one or more additional hairstylists and/or makeup artists to assist on your wedding day.
All additional artists are carefully selected professionals who are trusted by Nicola Honey Artistry and chosen for their experience, reliability and high standard of work.
Where additional artists are required, this will always be discussed with you before your booking is confirmed, and any applicable charges will be included within your quotation.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure consistency in the quality and standard of services provided, individual artists may use different techniques, products or styling methods to achieve the agreed look.
Nicola Honey Artistry will coordinate all artists, timings and services to ensure your wedding morning runs as smoothly as possible.
8. Early Start Fee
Where an arrival time before 6:00am is required, an early start fee may apply. This fee will be discussed and agreed with the client prior to booking confirmation.
Any early start fee will be included within your quotation or booking confirmation
9. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to provide a safe and suitable working environment.
This includes:
Adequate natural or artificial lighting
Access to electrical sockets where required
Appropriate seating
Hand washing facilities
A clean, dry workspace
Clients receiving makeup should arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
Clients receiving hairstyling should arrive with clean, dry hair unless advised otherwise.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure that every member of the bridal party is aware of the agreed schedule and is ready at their allocated time.
For hygiene reasons, only Nicola Honey Artistry and any assisting artists may handle professional products, brushes or equipment.
Should products or tools require replacement due to contamination, misuse or damage caused by members of the bridal party or guests, replacement costs may be charged to the booking client.
Children should remain supervised at all times whilst services are being carried out.
Pets should be kept away from the working area wherever possible to ensure health and safety for both clients and artists.
I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services where behaviour is abusive, threatening, aggressive, discriminatory or where I feel unsafe.
In such circumstances, no refund will be due.
10. Hair Disclaimer
The client is responsible for informing Nicola Honey Artistry of any existing hair or scalp conditions prior to the appointment. This includes, but is not limited to:
Hair thinning or hair loss
Excessive shedding
Hair breakage
Scalp sensitivity
Psoriasis or eczema affecting the scalp
Recent chemical treatments, including colouring, bleaching, perming or keratin treatments
Hair extensions
Any medical condition or medication that may affect the condition of the hair or scalp
By proceeding with hair services, the client confirms that, their hair and scalp are in a suitable condition for professional styling and that no relevant information has been withheld.
Whilst every reasonable care is taken when using professional products and heated styling tools, Nicola Honey Artistry cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from hair that has previously been compromised through chemical treatments, excessive heat, medical conditions or general wear.
Heat styling and the use of styling products carry an inherent risk. By proceeding with the service, the client accepts these risks.
Nicola Honey Artistry shall not be held liable for hair breakage, shedding, hair loss or changes to the condition of the hair where these are attributable to pre-existing conditions, natural hair growth cycles, medical factors or incorrect aftercare.
Any concerns regarding the service should be raised immediately during the appointment. Claims relating to hair damage or hair loss reported after the service may not be accepted where no concern was raised at the time.
10.Makeup Disclaimer
Clients must advise Nicola Honey Artistry of any allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions or medical conditions that may affect the safe application of makeup products.
Professional products are used throughout all services. Whilst every effort is made to select products suitable for each individual, Nicola Honey Artistry cannot guarantee that irritation or allergic reactions will not occur.
Patch testing is available upon request; however, it remains the client's responsibility to request this where they feel it is necessary.
For hygiene and safety reasons, Nicola Honey Artistry reserves the right to refuse makeup application where contagious or infectious conditions are present.
These include, but are not limited to:
Conjunctivitis
Cold sores or facial herpes
Open or weeping wounds
Impetigo
Scabies
Head lice or nits
Severe sunburn
Burns
Active skin infections
Where allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions have not been disclosed before the appointment, Nicola Honey Artistry accepts no responsibility for any resulting reactions, injury, loss or associated costs.
11. Timing on the Wedding Morning
A personalised schedule will be created based on your ceremony time and the number of services booked.
To ensure the morning runs smoothly, all members of the bridal party must be ready at their allocated appointment time.
Where delays occur due to lateness, interruptions or clients not being ready, Nicola Honey Artistry reserves the right to shorten or omit services in order to keep to the agreed schedule.
No refunds or discounts will be given for services affected by delays outside the control of Nicola Honey Artistry.
12.Photography & Image Use
Photographs of completed hair and makeup may be taken during your bridal trial and/or on your wedding day for use within Nicola Honey Artistry's professional portfolio, website, social media platforms and promotional material.
Trial photographs will never be published before your wedding day.
Before and after photographs may also be taken where appropriate.
If you would prefer that your photographs are not used for marketing purposes, please advise Nicola Honey Artistry before your appointment. Your wishes will always be respected.
Professional photographers and videographers engaged on your wedding day may also capture images or video footage of Nicola Honey Artistry whilst carrying out services.
Where possible, permission may be requested to use these images for portfolio and promotional purposes.
If you choose to share photographs featuring Nicola Honey Artistry's work on social media, a credit or tag is always greatly appreciated.
13. Changes to Your Booking
Please ensure your bridal party numbers are confirmed before paying your non-refundable booking fee.
If a second artist has been booked, services cannot be reduced once the booking has been confirmed.
Where Nicola Honey Artistry is the sole artist attending, changes to the booking may be accepted up to eight weeks before the wedding, provided the minimum booking requirement is still met.
Additional services may be added after booking, subject to availability.
Reducing services after confirmation will not reduce the original quoted booking value.
Should your ceremony time or venue change after booking, every effort will be made to accommodate the revised schedule. However, this cannot be guaranteed and may result in additional charges where extra travel or staffing is required.
14. Cancellation Policy
The original booking client accepts responsibility for understanding these Terms & Conditions, including all payment deadlines, cancellation charges and communication requirements.
All cancellations or requests to reschedule must be submitted in writing by email.
A cancellation is not deemed confirmed until written acknowledgement has been issued by Nicola Honey Artistry.
Bridal trial appointments may be cancelled at any time. However:
• The non-refundable booking fee will not be refunded.
• Bridal trials cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
If you decide not to proceed following your bridal trial, your initial trial is covered by your non-refundable booking fee.
Should you cancel your wedding booking, the following charges apply:
More than 3 months before the wedding
No further payment is due beyond the non-refundable booking fee.
Within 8 weeks of the wedding
50% of the total booking value becomes payable.
Within 2 weeks of the wedding
100% of the total booking value becomes payable.
Where your bridal trial falls within these payment periods, the relevant balance will be due at the trial appointment.
15. Force Majeure
Nicola Honey Artistry shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations where circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent attendance.
These include, but are not limited to:
Severe weather
Flooding
Road closures
Vehicle breakdown
Serious accident
Illness
Family emergency
Government restrictions
Natural disasters
Industrial action
Any other event outside reasonable control
Every reasonable effort will be made to attend your booking or arrange a suitable replacement artist.
Should this not be possible, any refund offered will take into account work already undertaken and payments already made.
16. Right to Refuse Service
Nicola Honey Artistry reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where a client or member of the bridal party is deemed to be abusive, threatening, aggressive, intoxicated or behaving in a manner that compromises the safety or wellbeing of the artist or others present.
In such circumstances, the booking will be treated as cancelled by the client and no refund will be due.
17. Communications
All booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations and important correspondence must be made in writing by email.
Nicola Honey Artistry cannot accept responsibility for information communicated via social media messaging platforms, text message or through third parties.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure all booking details are correct and to notify Nicola Honey Artistry promptly of any changes to the wedding date, ceremony time, venue, contact details or bridal party numbers.
18. Complaints
Every effort is made to ensure all clients are completely satisfied with the services provided.
If you have any concerns regarding your hair or makeup, these should be raised immediately during your appointment wherever possible, allowing the opportunity to make adjustments.
Any formal complaint must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of your wedding date.
Complaints received after this period may not be considered.
19. Artist Illness or Emergency
In the unlikely event that Nicola Honey Artistry is unable to attend your booking due to serious illness, injury, family emergency or any other unforeseen circumstance beyond reasonable control, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange a suitably qualified replacement artist.
Where a replacement artist is available, they will honour the agreed services wherever reasonably possible.
If a suitable replacement cannot be secured, all monies paid by the client (excluding the non-refundable booking fee and any completed bridal trial appointments) will be refunded in full.
Nicola Honey Artistry shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from such cancellation, including (but not limited to) venue costs, photography costs, travel expenses or any other third-party expenses.
20. Limitation of Liability
Whilst every reasonable care, skill and professionalism is exercised, Nicola Honey Artistry's total liability for any claim arising from the provision of services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for those services.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Where additional artists are engaged to assist with your booking, Nicola Honey Artistry will exercise reasonable care in selecting experienced professionals. However, Nicola Honey Artistry shall not be liable for any loss, damage or delay arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control relating to an additional artist, except where required by law or where caused by Nicola Honey Artistry's own negligence.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
