LARGE BRIDAL PARTIES
Depending on the size of your bridal party a secondary makeup artist/hair stylist may be required, this will incur a small surcharge.
MINIMUM BOOKING
I have a minimum booking number of four services per booking.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
It is the responsibility of the named person in the booking form to understand, agree and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. When paying the deposit and securing your booking you accept these terms of contract.
DEPOSITS
I take a small non-refundable deposit (£50 for makeup or £75 for hair and makeup) that provisionally holds your wedding date (deposits are due within 7 days once booking form has been issued)
This is then deducted from the final total if you wish to go ahead with the booking or this covers your trial if you then wish to not go ahead with the booking after the trial.
If you change your wedding date I am more than happy to move your deposit across to your new date for free (if I am available on your new date and no more than a year later) If I am not free on your new date you will be issued with a voucher unless you have already had your trial (service rendered) and you can use this towards a future booking if I am available. If you wish to move your date 1+ years after the initial booked date an additional small non- refundable deposit will be required and a small annual increase in rates will be applied.
All deposits are non refundable under any circumstances, unless I cancel the booking. PLEASE NOTE - YOUR BOOKING IS NOT SECURE UNTIL I HAVE RECEIVED YOUR INITIAL DEPOSIT
FORCE MAJEURE
Either party may choose to be excused of any further performance obligations in the event of a disastrous occurrence outside the control of either party, such as but not limited to: A natural disaster (flooding, explosions, hurricane, fires, storms or infestation), War, invasion, act of foreign enemies, embargo or other hostility (whether declared or not) or any hazardous situation created outside the control of either party such as riot, disorder, nuclear leak or explosion, act or threat of terrorism, pandemic. In the event of an illness/pandemic: If the client or members of the clients party are unwell have risk factors that they could be a carrier of a virus or have visited a high risk country then Nicola Honey Artistry would have to cancel the booking until after a period of self isolation has been carried out and proof given to the hair and makeup artist that this has been done. In the situation of force majeure: booking fees/deposits will not be refunded, nor will any fees for services rendered (i.e. trials, etc).
WEDDING INSURANCE
It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate insurance to protect them from loss of monies in the event that a wedding is cancelled by the venue or government/department of health or any other reason. The hair/makeup artist will still need to receive payment of the full balance, according to cancellation policy, to ensure no loss of earnings takes place.I take payments by cash or bank transfer only.
THE TRIAL
The trial is normally 1-4 months before the wedding date, trials are usually carried out at my home, (I live in Birmingham. B30 ) as I try and book in full days of trials. I tend to do the trials on a Monday , Tuesday or Thursdays.
FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS CANNOT ALWAYS BE GUARANTEED AS THIS IS USUALLY WHEN MOST WEDDINGS ARE TAKING PLACE.
If you have booked hair and makeup both trials will be carried out on the same day.Please bring along any inspiration images you have to help show me what you have in mind. For hair trials please wash your hair the night before so that it is easier to style and bring along any headpieces or a veil you plan to wear. Any other members of the bridal party requiring a trial will come at an additional cost.If for any reason you do not want to book after your bridal trial then your deposit covers your trial- any additional trials will need to be paid for .
If the trial date is within 8 weeks prior to the date, 50% of the balance will be required at the trial , if the trial is within 2 weeks of the wedding date 100% of the balance would need to be paid at the trial.
TRAVEL
Travel is charged at 50p per mile return
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
Please ensure that I will be working in a suitable environment with adequate lighting, electricity points and hand washing facilities.
Please ensure every member of the party is aware of timings and be available for hair or makeup application.
It is the clients responsibility to inform me of any allergies or reactions prior to makeup application.
I reserve the right to refuse makeup application if any of the party has contagious conditions for example Conjunctivitis, Facial herpes, open/weeping wounds or sores, Warts, Cystic acne, Sunburn or First Degree Burns, Eczema, Psoriasis, Nits/Headlice, Scabies or Impetigo.
If no known allergies are stated I cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, cost, claims and actions that may occur to you or any member of your party.
Prior to having makeup applied please ensure skin is makeup free and hair is clean and completely dry.
I reserve the right to refuse service to any client for, but not limited to, any behaviour deemed threatening or abusive.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGE COPYRIGHT
It is imperative I update my portfolio and website to demonstrate my work to future brides. Please let me know in advance if you do not wish to be in photographs or if you are not happy to appear in images on the website. I will not publish any trial images until after the wedding day, please feel free to tag yourself on social media sites. I sometimes do take before and after photos and are grateful to use these if possible , please inform me if you do not wish to have a before and after photograph. I am happy to be photographed on the wedding day whilst in action , if these photo are shared on social media please credit me accordingly.
WEDDING DAY
Price includes false lash application, the styles are subject to change due to stock depending on our suppliers.
There is no discount if false lashes are not applied.
There is no discount for partial services (eyes only, base and lips only).
If the travel time is more than 2 hours drive each way, overnight accommodation may be a required. The cost of accommodation is to be covered by the client.
International bookings require that flights/insurance and accommodation to be paid for in full by the client, including a surcharge per day.
Depending on your bridal party size, if a secondary makeup artist or hairstylist is needed, this will incur a small surcharge.
The time that our team arrives to you will depend on what time you need to be ready, we may have other bookings after yours, please be ready for services at the designated time to allow a smooth service.
If parking is not free on site, then the parking fee is to be covered by the client.
Any extra patrons or booked members of the bridal party are not to at any time touch any products or brushes belonging to the artists kit, for OHS reasons a surcharge to replace items that's hygiene may have been compromised will be owed by the original client.
CANCELLATION
It is the responsibility of the client(s) / original enquirer, to understand, agree and be held responsible for all booking conditions, including active communication, payment and notification of a cancellation and understanding the consequences.
The Client can cancel the trial at any point (no advance monies paid will be refunded) however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the agreed rate. If for any reason you do not want to book after your bridal trial then your trial cost is already covered by your deposit.
In order to ensure that potential/other clients of Nicola Honey Artistry are not compromised any cancellation of another booking you will incur the following fees if you cancel:
Up to 3 months prior to the date – None
8 weeks prior to the date, you will pay 50% of the booked amount quoted on your booking confirmation email.
2 weeks prior to the day and under, you will pay 100% of the booked amount quoted on your booking confirmation email.
If the trial date is within 8 weeks prior to the date, 50% of the balance will be required at the trial, if the trial is within 2 weeks of the wedding date 100% of the balance would need to be paid at the trial.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that Nicola Honey Artistry receives your written rescheduling/cancellation. Failure to do so will incur the fees as above. A cancellation is only confirmed when the re-issued receipt from Nicola Honey Artistry has been received via email.
In the unlikely event of cancellation by the Makeup Artist, as much advance notice possible will be given to the client and every effort will be taken to find a replacement artist. If no replacement can be found, all monies paid in advance by client to the Makeup Artist will be refunded with exception of payment of deposit and bridal trials.
